What our mobile Physiotherapists recommend doing if you find yourself stuck at home – Tip 2

Balance and meditation are often challenged in the same activity. Balance tasks generally require focus and quieting of the mind, which in essence has a meditating effect.

In our busy lives it hard to find time to stop, calm the mind and relax. If you have found yourself needing to stay at home, now is the perfect time to do this.

If you can combine this with balance exercises you can work to improve your mental and physical health and reduce your risk of falls.

Falls can result in physical trauma and potential death but they can also have a huge impact on mental health, confidence and changes in behaviour. This fear and change in behaviour can lead to reduce movement, increase physical decline and increased falls risk.

If you want to test your balance see our earlier post titled “Preventing falls and improving balance. A mobile Physiotherapists bread and butter.”
